Agri Management Tour to Polish BEEF Production

  • Destination: Poland

Poland is a net exporter of beef. Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain and France are major importers of Polish beef within the EU, while Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hong Kong and Belarus are major buyers from outside the EU.

In the first four months of 2015 beef exports increased by 21 percent mainly due to higher sales within the EU because Polish beef was prized competitively.

Imports of high quality beef are limited because of high price and lack of tradition of eating beef steaks.

Poland’s young bull beef production significantly increased in 2014, 2015, 2016 and was forecast to increase again.
